State-owned railway operator PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) plans to build shelters to accommodate online ride-hailing gojek (motorcycle taxi) drivers waiting to pick up commuter line passengers, an official has said.

The first location to get a shelter is Manggarai Station in South Jakarta, Greater Jakarta Transportation Agency (BPTJ) head Bambang Prihartono said on Thursday .

KAI will use its own land and has discussed the project with the Transportation Agency.

After Manggarai Station, the target was to build another shelter at Poris Plawad Station in Tangerang, Bambang said.

Meanwhile, when asked about a possible shelter at Tanah Abang Station in Central Jakarta, he said the details were currently being discussed.
